Connection of multiple facilities of Don-Stroy company to the telephone network
Company
Don-Stroy deserves special attention because the project for telecommunication services for facilities erected by the company includes
establishment of a specialized fiber optics network (STM-1 ring with data transfer rate 155 Mbps) covering all already constructed and yet planned housing facilities of Don-Stroy, in addition to traditional (from the technical angle) connection of individual buildings.
The network has to be built based on a full redundancy technique and has to be connected to the transport network of MTU-Inform.
This solution allows to optimize inversions and provides high reliability communication, as it still functions even when the fiber optic cable is damaged. A compact
SDH multiplexer (SDM-1 Micro) is installed in every residential building. Its resources are sufficient for the planned communication services. The first connections to the network described above are already made in buildings in Marshala Birjuzova street and Marshala Sokolovskogo street. In addition to digital telephony, users of high-speed internet access have long since appeared in the first facility, and the process of making contracts for connection of new clients is under way. A similar process has started in the second facility as well.
The telephone network of
Don-Stroy is comprised of central PABX installed at one of the facilities and connected to one of digital telephone exchanges of MTU-Inform (NEAX-61Z, made by NEC, Japan), and a series of mini-PABX installed in all other erected buildings and housing facilities. However, a more flexible solution was used at the initial stage in order to save client's investment. As long as only few buildings are erected and commissioned, mini-PABX NEAX-7400/100mx installed in each one are connected directly to transit exchange NEAX61S. The network architecture with the central PABX, as described above, will be implemented when the number of completed buildings increases.
The local housing networks providing data transfer rate 128 kbps during the first stage are connected through the transport network of MTU-Inform. Routers integrated by a common access point are installed in the buildings. Every individual building router can be replaced with a more powerful one if users' traffic increases.
Thus, the complex of residential buildings of
Don-Stroy has it's own telecommunication network with potentially extensive capabilities for further development. It is also used for reception and broadcasting of over 30 national and international TV channels (DISCOVERY, Eurosport, Hallmark, CNN, BBC World, VH-1, etc.). This allows the developer to use investment funds in a more efficient manner compared to connecting individual facilities as autonomous units. MTU-Inform, in its turn, also saves its telecommunication resources. It must be noted that this solution, that allows to promptly provide all modern telecommunication services to the covered buildings, is, in a way, a revolutionary one and is probably implemented first time in domestic practice.
The work of connection of new
Don-Stroy facilities goes on.
