In 1996-1997, MTU-Inform launched a powerful SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) fiber optic network with equipment from ECI Telecom. The SDH high-capacity network is one of Europe's best city transport networks. It covers the entire territory of Moscow.

Based on SDH network MTU-Inform has also developed a number of overlay networks such as:

• telephone network,
• the Intelligent Network,
• data transmission network
• MTU-Online Internet connection network
• cable television network

The capacity of SDH transport network

High-performance communications and quick connection: our network branches are tightly integrated with the Moscow City Telephone Network. Our nodes are located in the same buildings as MGTS telephone stations. Therefore, the distance between a node and any potential user never exceeds 3 kilometers.

Reliable communications: in the event of cable damage, back-up channels will be switched on automatically without disturbing the client.
