MTU-Inform receives prize "Computer Elite"

April 26, 2001 - Yesterday, the company MTU-Inform was awarded the "Computer Elite" prize for the year 2000. According to the research results conducted by the publishing house "Kompyuter Press" and the Institute for Marketing and Research GfK MR Russia and by the information provided by IDC and iXBT, the company MTU-Inform was declared the Internet Provider of the Year. A solemn awards ceremony for the victors was held in the concert hall of the hotel "Radisson Slavyanskaya" in Moscow.

"This kind of success is the result of the work of MTU-InformÕs entire collective," the general director of MTU-Inform, Said Alimbekov, said. "To receive the "Computer Elite" prize is not only a great honor, but also a huge responsibility. We will do everything we can to keep the quality of our services and customer relations on the very highest level."

MTU-Inform began offering access to the Internet in 1997. Today, MTU-Inform provides access to the network on different lines. Access to the internet is provided through computer lines by the company MTU-Intel, a branch of MTU-Inform.

The "Computer Elite" prize has not been MTU-InformÕs only recognition of services in the sphere of internet provision by the business community. In December of last year, according to the results of the contest "Company of the Year - 2000" held by the magazine "Kompaniya," MTU-Inform first became holder of the title "Internet Provider of the Year." In June 2000, according to the results of the survey Top-ProfiÕ2000 conducted by the International Computer Club, MTU-Inform won out the category "the Russian company that attracted the largest amount of Internet users."
